DESIGN AFFILIATES - RANDALL STUDIO
We at J.P. Weaver Co. would be hard pressed to recommend a better artisan specializing in gilding than Randall Studio. Mark Randall founded his Studio in 1994 and is a third generation craftsman. He learned the art of traditional water gilding under renowned master gilder and picture frame maker Martin Horowitz, and trained under master gilder Peter Stetler, learning the fine connoisseur-ship and technical skills required for sensitive conservation treatments.
As a master gilder himself, Randall continues to learn and implement current conservation techniques through coursework and extensive reading of industry publications, as well as authoring technical articles published for the trade and offering specialty workshops.
Randall Studio specializes in the conservation and restoration of gilded objects. They have extensive experience working with period gilded picture frames, mirror frames, gilded furniture, sculpture and objects d'art.
