RMF 6603 - Austin Fireze
Inspired by a 17th century ceiling, we created this frieze to reflect the character of the original. It is a finely detailed dimensional collage of fruit and flowers. We have borrowed from the great 16th century Flemish painter and added an occasional butterfly and beetle hidden in the foliage.
5 1/4"W x 7/8"D x 92"L
RMF 1005 - Italian Fruit
This is a hearty, dimensional use of vegetables and fruit. It is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance flavor that made its appearance through all subsequent periods. Inspired by the work of the great European carver, Grinling Gibbons (1648-1721), we took small branches from trees, pods from plants, small ropes and leaves and blended them with the ornamentation depicted in the drawing. It took us weeks to produce the original master and a great deal of technology to produce the original mould. The effect is stunning. Lenna calls this one of our finest “non-period, period designs”.
